The Project
Tadman Planning Consultants is currently supporting Paper Lane Day Nursery and Pre-School in Paulton with a planning application to expand its existing childcare provision.
The established nursery currently provides places for up to 61 children. The proposal would increase capacity to approximately 73 children through the provision of new, purpose-designed accommodation for 12 non-mobile babies. This would also free up space within the existing nursery building, allowing the accommodation for toddlers and pre-school children to be better organised and used.
The proposals respond to an identified need for additional childcare places locally and will enable an established and successful nursery to increase the range and number of places it can offer to families in Paulton and the surrounding area.
The planning application remains under consideration by Bath & North East Somerset Council. We are hopeful that planning permission will be granted, allowing the new accommodation to be provided and the nursery to continue developing its childcare provision for the local community.
